Season 4 of the Tech Mahindra Global Chess League opened in Bengaluru after previous editions in Dubai, London and Mumbai.
GM Javokhir Sindarov defeated GM Viswanathan Anand and drew GM Alireza Firouzja as the FYERS American Gambits took both opening matches. Magnus Carlsen's Alpine side also won on night one.
